SHIPPING YOUR EQUIPMENT TO PCW
Our estimates are free and always will be! If you decline the estimate you are responsible for return shipping charges and exploratory charges when applicable.
In order to receive an official PCW estimate you must send in your equipment. Please fill out our repair form and include a copy of the form inside the box when ready to ship. If you are unable to print the form, please include some kind of identification INSIDE THE BOX – it can be a short note, letter, or your business card. Do not rely on the shipping label as it can be damaged in transit. We receive an electronic copy of your repair form and can print one out (if not included) once we have received and identified your equipment in the shop.
Packing your equipment: Choose a box that will allow at least two inches of packing material on all sides; double boxing is also good. Please do not send camera bags as we are very limited on shelf space. Use a ziplock bag or other soft padding and wrap your equipment in bubble wrap ~3-4 times. You can leave the lens attached to the body. Slightly over-stuff the box with packing material--we highly recommend using packing peanuts, foam, or bagged air--before sealing the box with tape on all sides. The objective is to not feel anything move from the center to the sides when you pick it up. Use your preferred mail carrier. We also highly recommend insuring your equipment for the added peace of mind during transit. We receive deliveries via DHL, Fedex, UPS Ground, USPS, etc.
Shipping to us: This address is a secure locker inside of a UPS Store. Packages are signed for by store employees. If your tracking shows “Received/Accepted/Signed For” then it has successfully been received at the store and is awaiting pick up in our locker. We attempt daily pick-ups but sometimes it's every other day, with no weekend pick ups. We will send a confirmation email when we have safely unpacked your equipment in the shop. Please make sure the address is labeled clearly, and always include the entire suite number. If the zipcode populates as Austin instead of Lakeway, it is still going to the correct address. Lakeway is a suburb of Austin.
